Fall Construction Update – October 2025

The Rise — October 24, 2025

Dear Neighbors,

With summer grading complete, we are commencing the next permitted sequence of construction at The Rise to install infrastructure serving the initial homes, retail, parks, and public spaces.

Over the next year, crews will install wet and dry utility infrastructure system improvements (including water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, gas, electricity, telephone, and cable/internet) necessary for the development of the first phase of new residential and retail buildings at The Rise. This construction will also incorporate new internal roadways and connections with upcoming street improvements along Stevens Creek Boulevard and Wolfe Road, including new protected bikeways and crosswalks.

Preservation of existing street trees is a project priority, particularly along Stevens Creek Boulevard. A revised utility plan now allows us to retain most of these trees; the small number that must be removed are non-native species and will be replaced with indigenous, drought-tolerant trees.

Completion of this first phase of horizontal work – earthwork, onsite utility installation, and roadway paving – will enable the start of building and parkland construction in the latter half of 2026.

All throughout, our construction management plan and Good Neighbor Program will minimize disruption through dust and noise mitigation, traffic controls, regulated work hours, timely updates, and a 24/7 construction hotline.

Thank you for your interest, your patience, and your commitment, which we share, to create a vibrant and welcoming social heart for the Cupertino community.
